Happy Indiana Glass Collecting!
This is a green carnival glass compote made by Northwood in the early 1900's. This is marked on the inside bottom with a small N. The pattern is called Rainbow.
This is very early carnival glass (1908 or 1909). Northwood marked their early carnival glass items with an N on the inside of the item. The early carnival patterns were simple and elegant. The elaborate patterns came later. This elegant beauty is 100 years old.
This is a larger compote measuring 6 inches tall and 6 1/2 inches across the hand ruffled top. The inside is brimming with shiny rainbow colors. The outside is awash with bright reds and golds. The base glass color is a brilliant shade of emerald green. It is a beauty with no damage and just a tiny bit of inside wear. A lovely piece that shows very little of it's 100 year age. This would be a wonderful addition to any carnival glass or old Northwood glass collection.
