Netsuke Carved Hippo Ivory Man and Frog

This finely carved netsuke is made from hippo tooth, which is found on the banks of rivers where hippos shed them. The man seems to be offering something to the frog, who is perched on some bamboo. This is nicely scrimshawed and colored. It is signed by the artist and has proper netsuke holes.
