This is an Exquisite Antique 19C Portrait Miniature on Ivory in Frame. The entire piece is 5 1/2" by 4 3/4". The visible portion of the portrait is 3 1/4" by 2 1/2". Excellent color and detail in this painting. Frame is ivory with with tortoise shell band. We did not find a signature, but we did not remove it from its frame. In excellent condition.

This is an Exceptional 19C Signed Miniature Portrait on Ivory in Tortoiseshell Frame. The entire piece is 5 1/2" by 4 3/4", the visible portion of the portrait is 3 1/8" by 2 1/2". Artist signed by Steeler. The tortoiseshell frame has thin brass banding overlay. The brass is lifting in a few spots (no harm). The portrait is in excellent condition and the whole peice displays great!

These were typically made during the period of British Colonial rule. Has a shadow box style frame where the glass is raised about 1" above the painting. In excellent condition. (there is some old tape on the back on the painting which can be seen in the pics)

The portrait is hand painted and artist signed on ivory and is identified as Miss Hallett (Gainsborough woman). The artist signature looks like Peca. The box lid is hinged and rests on the base - does not have a clasp. Overall very good estate condition.

In frame it measures 12" by 9 1/2" and the visible portion is 8 3/4" by 6". The frame is not original but complements the painting well. The painting is in very good condition, the frame shows spots of wear. Still displays great. S. Clark is attributed to Seldon McKinley Clark (1903-1971).
