Anchor Hocking 2-Quart Storage Jar With Original Lid

$25 USDAnchor Hocking 2-Quart Storage Jar With Original Lid

Glass:By Maker:Anchor Hocking:Storage Jar
Perfect 2-quart Anchor Hocking jar for anything from nuts to noodles. This one has served with me for many years as a rice jar. Dated from the 1930's or 1940's it could be part of a Hoosier set. Carries the embossed Anchor Hocking familiar logo on the bottom and the number 5275 with a single number 1 below. Two tapered vertical lines round off each corner into a nice curve, also known as a bowed rib design. Original white lid shows wear inside, but is quite clean and screws on tightly. Measures ...
Matched Pair Clear Glass Warranted Flasks

$25 USDMatched Pair Clear Glass Warranted Flasks

Glass:By Function:Flask
Both embossed “Warranted Flask.” Believed to be mouth-blown or hand-made because side mold seams disappear at the shoulders. Most likely date prior to 1915. Both apparently sealed with corks. The clear one has a number 146 on the bottom and a well-worn chip on the bottom edge. The second one is cloudy inside with no number on the bottom. Both measure 7 3/4" tall and 3 3/4" at the shoulders. Price is for both.
Small Unmarked Aqua Glass Medicine Or Pocket Flask

$20 USDSmall Unmarked Aqua Glass Medicine Or Pocket Flask

Glass:By Function:Medicine Flask
Described as an old medicine flask, this small bottle was found embedded in a creek on our farm many years ago. Believed to be mouth-blown or hand-made, it has fading side mold seams which disappear at the shoulders. Most likely dates prior to 1915. Common flattened oval shape for that period with a sheared top. Measure 5-inches tall; 2 1/4" across the bottom. And on one occasion used as the subject of a still-life photography project.
Signed Pair 1930's Hazel Atlas Amber Chair Leg Casters

$20 USDSigned Pair 1930's Hazel Atlas Amber Chair Leg Casters

Glass:By Maker:Hazel Atlas:Chair Casters
Embossed with the familiar Hazel Atlas logo on the bottom, these amber (more like molasses) colored glass casters were made in the 1930's. Each is 2 3/8" diameter across the bottom. Show normal scuff marks for age. If you might wonder why there only two...I can tell you. My grandmother’s living room chair had these two casters to protect the back two legs that sat on the hardwood floor. The front two legs of the chair sat on the carpet. Casters were also used to hold furniture with small built ...

$15 USDPint And Half Pint Wire Bail Canning Jars

Glass:By Function:Canning Jars:Half Pint & Pint
Found in the late 1960's in the crawl space of a farmhouse we had just purchased, these two jars are the last of several resurrected, emptied of tomatoes and cleaned and packed for the last 40 years. Crystal clear, they are in excellent condition. The smaller half-pint marked on the bottom with a letter ‘K’. Under that the numbers 1875 (not a manufacture date), and then the number ‘7'. Four tiny stars embossed around the shoulder. The pint jar is marked on the bottom with a logo I do not ...
SALE Pressed Glass Serving Plate With Diamond Shapes

$20 USD SaleSALE Pressed Glass Serving Plate With Diamond Shapes

Glass:By Function:Pressed Glass:Server
Intended for tiny sandwiches or petit fours this serving plate is actually not flat at all. The outside rim stands1 ½" tall giving it a very slight dip down to the center. Simply covered inside with the tiniest bubbles. I thought at first it was speckled with tiny droplets of paint, but a loupe proved without a doubt there are hundreds of nearly invisible manufacturing bubbles within the glass when it was pressed into the pattern mold. Measures 11-inches in diameter. No chips or cracks. Ready ...

$50 USD SaleSALE Jefferson Northwood Block Opalescent Green Vase

Glass:By Maker:Jefferson:Northwood
More than 100 years old, this vase was long attributed to Northwood. This ‘Block’ pattern has now been proven to actually have been made by Jefferson Glass between 1900 and 1907. According to reliable sources, the pattern was found in old Jefferson advertisements and produced when the company was located in Steubenville, OH. During those few years opalescent glass was their specialty. This piece available in four other colors was among them. In 1907 Jefferson moved its operations to nearby West ...

SALE Matching 1960's Decorative Pedestal Vases

$30 USD SaleSALE Matching 1960's Decorative Pedestal Vases

Glass:Decorative:Vases
One red, one blue, these were wedding gifts in the early 1960's. I’m still not sure what they are supposed to be: Large goblets for the bride and groom? Vases for small candy? Used for decoration, they mostly sat on a shelf or on the mantel, a quick place to drop safety pins and paper clips and finally packed for moving where they ended up in the attic still boxed. They are pressed glass with a thumb print along the bottom of the base. Unmarked. No chips or cracks. Measure 6 1/8" tall, 4 3/4" ...

Glass:By Maker:Avon:Votive
This ‘jar’ has been used for the past ten years or more as a potpourri collection of sweet scents. I also never realized before that it is interchangeable with the lid also serving as a stand for the base (see photos). According to Bud Hastin's “Avon Collector's Encyclopedia” (2008), this votive was issued in 1967 in two styles. The one shown here is frosted glass ...

Before the days of plastic leftover containers, housewives used these glass containers for leftover food from the dinner table.
