Antique Ironstone Staffordshire Gravy/Sauce Tureen and Stand

Vintage early 1900`s English ornate sauce or gravy tureen and underplate, exquisite twisted handles and lovely raised mold work, scalloped edges decorated with dainty blue flowers and foliage, complete with lid and underplate. Marked, Johnson Bros. Royal Semi- Porcelain, has an Rd number (I can not read) Kovel`s dates this mark early1900's, from Handly & Tunstall, Staffordshire, England Earthenware, Ironstone.

Covered tureen is 8" long, including the handle`s, 4&1/2" wide and stands 5&1/2" to the top of the beautiful twisted handle. Under plate is 8&1/4" long and 6&1/4" wide.

Condition is very good for such a vintage piece, no cracks, but does have a tiny chip on the edge of the opening for the ladle,(see pictures)and two small glaze rub`s under the lid edge, the underplate has crazing, does not hurt the beauty of this vintage set.
