Vintage covered casserole made by Universal Pottery Cambridge Ohio in the 1940's for Sears.This is the Cat-tail 2 quart casserole on the clamwood shape featuring red cattails and trim with black foliage, pattern repeated 3 times around the bowl.

This casserole and cover are 8 & 1/4 inches in diameter and 4 & 1/4 inches high. They are shown in a 1940s Sears catalog reprint on page 292 of American Dinnerware by Jo Cunningham.

Casserole and cover are both in very good to excellent condition, with no cracks,chips or repairs, slight crazing noted,very light shelf ware on the bottom, nothing distracting. Packed shipping weight will be 5 lbs.
