Victorian Mourning Brooch - Carved Ivory Scene & Woven Hair

Such a beautiful piece I have rarely seen, the front inside piece is Ivory or Bone and hard to be certain, carved with a lovely intricate scene of majestic buck deer or elk and covered with clear glass.

The back is of woven human hair and frame has looped design, gold filled or brass perhaps measuring 1 1/2 x 1 7/8".

Attached to brooch is a tiny little safety pin on fine chain and for watch attachment perhaps(not certain).

The pendant portion in the center is hinged on a pin top and bottom so it can turn from front to back, pin has early 'c' hook clasp and brooch is in excellent used condition.
