Offering for sale a rare and wonderful half doll pincushion doll from Germany, 19th Century. This is the complete doll, not just the porcelain half, and with legs ! The base or pincushion part is a violet fabric over which is draped ecru lace; and at her waist some matching ribbon is gathered. Her porcelain half doll top has the same violet color for her blouse. Attached to the front of the skirt her porcelain legs, with gold shoes painted on. Germany is marked on the bottom of her pincushion ...

Offering for sale a wonderful 19th century Germany half doll or pincushion doll. Most of these we find are only the porcelain half doll, or upper part; this one has all her original base, the lovely costume pincushion part ! She has a skirt of golden yellow taffeta over which is sewn and pinned old ecru lace and hand sewn robin egg blue velvet ribbon trim at her waist, very elegant.
