Absolutely gorgeous large berry spoon made by Towle Silversmiths of Newburyport, Mass. in 1880. This pattern was too labor intensive and was discontinued that same year in 1880.

Lovely HAND CHASED flower design in the bowl, with fluted and turned edges around the edge. As you twist the handle it has an optical effect that looks like it is unscrewing itself! Very unusual.

It is 9" long and the bowl is 3" X 3 1/2" long. Only extremely minor dings in the bowl , very hard to find. Spoon appears to be in perfect condition.

Buyer to pay priority shipping AND insurance.
