Rare Samantha an earlier Papier Mache doll with original body of fine proportions and wooden hand carved arms and hands. No photograph will ever do her justice only a painted portrait will give her ingrating smile. her hair is cut a short boyish bob in well defined curly ringlets with a slight part to one side on the forehead with tiny hair lines of accent Blown glass eyes of brown lighten the face to a human look with a lovely complexion Samantha is dressed in handmade clothes of the period. Her dress is of mulberry pineapple cloth There is a doll like her with her presence at the DAR in Washington.
