Antique Ribbon and Lace Embellished French Bonnet

This is a charming large size bonnet that frames the face beautifully! It has an elaborate and wide silk ribbon tie in back and can be adjusted to accommodate various head sizes. I think it would work for a doll with a head circumference of about 14-18". Condition is superb, with a light airy sheer cap, accented with layer after layer of fine french lace ruffles. Also embellished with narrow silk ribbon for a very chic and high society appearance! We have placed white tissue in the cap to show off the lovely shape of the bonnet. Measuring all the way around, as we have pictured it, it measures about 21". 19th century.
