One of my favorites! This hat is simply stunning, embellished with rich ivory embroidery, openwork, and lace! The colors are very soft and muted and the entire brim is encircled with fine ivory cloth flowers dusted with pink here and there. The flowers do show age, with some faint overall dustiness and some time spent steaming them will gently open the blossoms. The underside is lined in ivory silk and a peach colored silk. Wire framed. Ideal for a large doll or Victorian teddy bear! It measures 21.5" around where the head would be seated. Very picturesque!
