An excellent antique brass colored metal pocketwatch in a perfect miniature size for a French fashion doll. Detailing is perfect with tiny realistic details. The watch is an accessory or toy and does not really keep time. The face appears to be painted and has gold or brass colored details included painted hands that do not move. The back has elaborate scrollwork. There is a tiny hole pierced into the edge of the watch at the bottom. I can't tell if there was something which extended from there or if this occurred sometime in its history as a toy. It is a solid piece and not hollow, therefore there is substantial weight to the watch. It measures about 1" from the ring at the top, to the bottom. The watch, itself, measures 3/4". It is accented with an antique brass very fine chain, which we have added, in the event you wish to display it on a larger doll or teddy bear. I can't find any marks, but it is believed to be European in origin. I think this is the tiniest watch we've had! The teeny antique ones are very difficult to find!
