1906 Full Gold Sovereign Edward VII with Elaborate 9 K Setting

1906 KING EDWARD VII FULL GOLD SOVEREIGN ( LUSTRE). This is a commemorative coin dating from 1906 in honor of King Edward VII of England, who came to the throne after Queen Victoria. Weight 7.98 grams Contains 0.2354 of 1 Troy Oz Gold. Image of King Edward on one side, and St. George and the dragon on the other. This has been set in an elaborate 9 (marked 375) karat gold setting and is meant to be worn as a pendant. The pendant measures 2" long. The underside of the pendant has the image of King Edward and the image of St. George is the one facing out of the setting. Marked B D near the date under the horse and A D on the ring at the top. A beautiful and very desirable piece of jewelry. Would be great tied with a red, white and blue silk ribbon and displayed on a $10,000 center seam Steiff teddy!
