About Dolls and Lace

Our Service Pledge To You:
We pledge to make your online ordering experience a positive one. We try to be as accurate as possible in our descriptions and attempt to mail your orders in a timely fashion.

About Us
Welcome to Dolls And Lace! We specialize in antique dolls and bears, antique doll clothes and accessories, and antique lace, ribbon and trims, vintage millinery and Victorian accessories. We have been buying and selling antiques since 1988 and have been operating our internet business for twelve years.

We are nestled in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, approximately 30 minutes from Salt Lake City and are just a few miles from the original historic Pony Express Trail which operated here from 1860 through 1861.

We have customers in over 56 countries and have placed our orphan dolls and bears in loving homes throughout the world! Our vintage millinery is being used in costume design in the blockbuster movie The Mummy III, filmed at Universal Studios and
our vintage lace incorporated into costume embellishment for the Prince Caspian movie filmed in Prague and which was released in spring of 2008. All our customers are important to us, from the prestigious Metropolitan Opera Company of New York, CBS Wardrobe Department and BBC Productions to the enthusiastic first time collector who is purchasing a much beloved antique doll or teddy bear.

We know that communicating on the Internet can seem, at times, impersonal. All of us here at Dolls and Lace are committed to making ordering online a positive experience for you.

Read more about us in Doll Reader's May 2003 issue, where we are featured in the Shoppe Talk department.

Please note that many of our items are consignments from all over the world. We offer our items on other online sites, through mail order, at shows and local shops. We reserve the right to withdraw inventory items for sale or consigned items at any time. Instances have occurred where items have sold in another location or consignors have changed their minds and no longer wish to sell. We thank you for your understanding.

We accept Paypal, Mastercard, Discover and VISA. Also money orders and checks for orders of $50 or more. To expedite orders, we ask you use Paypal or call with your credit card information if your order is less than $50.

A Note Regarding Our Dolls...

Please note we make every attempt to accurately describe our dolls and bears.

Our bisque dolls are examined with blacklights, with flashlights and with natural light. Dolls are examined by several experienced individuals. Neckwells are also inspected for damage and particular attention is paid to the rim area of the crown. We look for damage, eye chips and rubs and these things are noted in our descriptions.

We are unable, however, to list every flaw to a doll's costume or every inch of wear to a doll's composition body. There may be very minor imperfections or insignificant, inherent factory flaws which are not listed.

Please feel free to email us for more detail and request pictures. Our descriptions are mainly focused on the doll's or bear's condition, originality, and any repairs to bisque or damage to bisque.

We will be delighted to answer specific questions, rephotograph, if possible, etc.
