This is an exquisite set of French Limoges, comprising 14 beautifully hand-painted dinner plates from the celebrated Vignaud Freres of Paris,France, who for many years specialized in beautifully decorated white wares from Limoges Circa 1900.

During the 1900's, A. Vignaud Freres carried on extensive export of exquisite French table wares which were their specialty.

This set is of hand-painted porcelain, with a central theme of a compote over flowing with exquisitely colored fruit set with vibrantly colored cobalt blue double borders overlayed in figured gilt with colored fruit set in-between the borders and many gilt accents

A set of this beauty would have been specially commissioned for a well to do family, as evidenced by the the beautifully exquisite hand -painting and hand-gilding of this set of 14 large dinner ;plates.

Marked : E.Bourgeois,Paris 21 Rue Droun ..a well established company that commissioned Limoges porcelain of only the finest quality and workmanship.
