Circa 1840 Antique Elkington, London Elaborately Decorated Silver Plate Tea Kettle

This wonderful elaborately decorated silver plate kettle on it's original stand was made by the widely recognized, finest of silversmiths, Elkington & Co.,of Birmingham, London, England.

This round tea kettle and stand with multiple elements of Rococo has a beautifully scroll -work handle and is lavishly and exquisitely decorated with floral garlands, foliate scrollwork, and vacant cartouche demonstrating the Victorian love of beautiful decoration.

It is in splendid mint condition .... complete with it's original double c -scroll tripod footed stand and burner. . Elkington & Co.are of great historical significance as they invented the silver electroplating process in the 1830,s and have received many awards and wordwide recognition since then.

Hallmarked and in mint condition, it is 13" tall.

This is a treasure for the collector of fine silver who values remarkable workmanship.
