A fabulous antique gilded bronze ormolu 3 1/2 " jewel casket with ornate garland framing a hand -painted portrait miniature oval measuring 3 1/2 " x just under 1 1/2" the condition is excellent.

The portrait under glass is of a beautiful women framed with a delicate gilded cartouche of rhinestones with lovely decorations of floral, vines and laurel.

The tightly hinged enamel oval shaped lid is further decorated with a lovely raised floral gilt border encircled by stones, and a lower border area of garlands encircled on blue enamel. The base of the ormolu casket is fashioned in blue enamel rectangles and squares framed in white enamel ...

Excellent condition, just a bit of age evident in the tiny missing stone. No warping or age cracks, no dents or damage .
