This very exceptional and beautiful "one piece" serving piece is a sauce, creme or gravy ladle Circa 1800. It possesses the superbly elegant shell and fiddle pattern on the handle and is most likely an American coin silver spoon dating from the early to mid 1800's.

Coin silver pieces are fully wrought, highly prized and eminently collectable pieces of American silver that expressed American tastes and style during Circa 1830 thru 1860.

A prize for the serious silver collector's collection.
