This beautifully decorated serving piece is a sugar castor /tea -caddy spoon from the late 1800's, It has a 6" long handle which was used to remove tea leaves from a tea cannister.
This is a highly decorative spoon with large shell shaped bowl with vines, tendrils and scrolls on it's handle, it is most typical of the fashion of the Victorian era shell shaped sugar/ tea -caddy spoons made during the late 1800's
Marked Niagara Silver Co. A1, which is now part of Oneida Heirloom.
It is in mint condition and a wonderful gift for "someone special" who enjoys their tea.
