Salts were usually made in pairs, the growth of neoclassicism saw new designs such as this beautiful pair from the 19th century. These salt cellars with their 3 lion feet are elaborately decorated with Egyptian style sphinx heads over each of the claw feet and other decorative motifs, which include scrolls, swags, tassels and florals These are very special pieces worthy of a special place at your party table or displayed on a side table .
