This exquisite Claret colored ground scenic Meissen style Royal Vienna footed jug has been beautifully hand decorated with a very heavy application of hand applied gilding.

It was made in the Empire style of Royal Vienna (circa 1800) and possesses a lovely circular gilded footed base with a wonderfully sculpted and graceful oversized handle.

The beautiful hand painted reserve typical of famous Watteau paintings depict courting couples in period dress in garden landscapes.

This lovely jug is in excellent condition with an old minor repair to the handle ( please view pictures), commensurate with a piece of this vintage, has been priced to reflect this minor blush.

Marked as shown, underglaze blue beehive.
