This is a very superior Donnath Dresden porcelain Fragonhard cabinet cup with bird handle and saucer in the Empire Style of Royal Vienna is of Museum Quality.

The set has been exquisitely Hand- Decorated in a deep green luster glazed finish, which is highlighted by a heavy application of gilt jeweling and beading. The cup is further enhanced by a hand-painted raised gold reserve of a beautiful woman holding flowers with a putti in a lovely landscape. The very large ornate handle rises above the rim of the cup with very elaborate museum quality while heavy gold detail adorns the back of the cup, inside the rim and around the foot of the cup. The equally exquisite matching saucer features elaborately raised gold scroll work and beading against this wonderful green luster glaze

This set is an exquisite example of some of the work of Dresden Circa 1880, known for painting in the Meissen and Royal Vienna style.
