This is a most EXCEPTIONAL EARLY PARIAN Pedestal Urn with Cover, creamy white in color, without blemish and having a strong resemblance to marble which suggested to Victorian, England ......elegance, opulence and wealth.

. This Magnificent Pedestal Urn is a most delicate Parian sculpted piece as it is exquisitely modeled with much attention having been given to detail....a wonderful relief decoration of a figural group of Putti gathering floral, fruit and vines for their many exquisite floral decorations. The handles are large clusters of fruit and flowers, and support a truly magnificent lid of a Large Putti, with what appears to be cornucopia in each hand, sitting among foliage, fruit and flowers

There has been great attention given to every detail which makes this covered urn very valuable, as it was a very complicated, lengthly and expensive process that put multiple figures together using dozens of different molds each one for a different Putti body..each one assembled with the greatest of care ..without seams, over- lapping or missing parts.

. Mark; Impressed "Copeland" at the base of Urn; denotes earlier work, Circa 1840-1860

Condition; Excellent; ..a barely visible old and very minor restoration to one wing, age related chip on the platform base, Neither effect the value or beauty of this exceptional piece.... commensurate with a piece of this vintage.
