This is a very rare and unusual geometrically shaped Art Deco, Staffordshire teapot with depressed or set in lid and a wonderfully unusual metal spout is decorated in a much loved paisley chintz pattern.

Possessing a wonderfully angular shape inspired by "cruise liners" it is Art Deco in its design, and was made by G.M.Craigley,Staffordshire, England. It is a exceptionally wonderful teapot from Staffordshire that would be a very special treasure to any collection.

Marked in green with a GMC logo. RD No. 691168, Patt. No. 18148/22. The registration number dates it to the 1920's.

Size: 6" length x 3 1/2" width x 3 1/4" tall

Condition: No chips or cracks. Overall crazing, some minor staining and age appropriate wear to the pattern, which is commiserate with a piece of this vintage and does not effect it's beauty or value....this is a very rare and exquisitely beautiful teapot.
