About Us
Welcome to DocsAntiques where we offer you a chance to browse, ask a question and maybe even find that special antique or example of fine art you've been searching for at just the right price. And if you've been here before, then you already know that antique pottery is our primary specialty, however we are also searching for the interesting or uncommon item in fine arts and collectibles as well. Or if your interest is antique ceramics -- then do take a moment to look at our offerings --whether it is creamware, pearlware, agateware, faience, salt glaze stoneware, delftware (tin enamel), Wedgwood, Jackfield, rosso antico, black basalt, Portobello, yellowware (yellow ware), alkaline glazed stoneware, porcelain, common redware, mocha, engine turned, annular/banded, slipware, scratch blue, sprigged or whatever. The items we offer here have been hand picked from searching hundreds of back road antique shops, antique shows and estate sales over the years to spare you from racking up thousands of miles given the price of gas. So please browse our shop and enjoy a virtual antiquing trip without ever leaving your home, shop or office! And our searches continue today so that we may bring you even more unusual, rare or simply highly sought examples of decorative arts items and material culture from the last three centuries.
When possible, we also enjoy blending anthropology and knowledge of ceramics, glass and related antiques acquired from supervising historical archaeological excavations over the years to help convey some of the more interesting aspects and culture history of the antiques offered in our shop. And we are still learning as we go from those buyers and other dealers who kindly take a moment to e-mail us.
Please feel free to ask about any items we have and also do let us know what you may be seeking just in case we happen to stumble across it first so that we might offer it to you here! All our antiques are backed with the Ruby Lane return guarantee. That means we also provide a full refund including all shipping and insurance if the item you purchase from us was not accurately described (please refer to our Service Pledge for full details). So we encourage you to browse around and if you do see something you wish to purchase, simply remember that "your satisfaction is our guarantee" - - and thanks for stopping by and visiting.
