Simple Balloon Back Rococo Revival Walnut upholstered man's chair with a tufted back. Finger molding, scrolling, demi cabriole front legs on casters. Fabric is a rose colored nylon brocade that is in good condition with no worn spots. Please note the repairs in the pictures: Top crest-rail has been repaired, the back upper chair rail has a screw that is showing and one chip on the right front corner on the joint between the right front leg and the rail. c. 1850-1860. This chair design matches the settee also shown on this site. Size is 41 1/2" tall x 28" wide with seat width of 24" square and 14" up from floor to seat.
