SALE Chinese Black Lacquered 6 Panel Folding Screen Room Divider

Chinese design 6 panel screen measures 83 1/2" tall x 96" wide. It has six folding black lacquered panels (each 16" wide) with carving on each side. The front side shows an elegant bamboo rock garden with birds and flowers that are relief carved and painted different colors. The border is floral with a glyptic animal between the flowers. Bottom of each panel on the front has a greek key design. Back side of the screen is relief carved bamboo rock garden with a few birds flying. Carving on the panels is exquisite in detail and the condition only shows a little amount of wear. Hinges are brass and caps on the bottom of the legs on each panel are covered with copper. Weight is 85 lbs. This was purchased at at estate sale where the elderly owner stated she bought it over 20 years ago at another estate sale. I believe the age to be mid-century.
