Soft and gentle old print from the 1920's-1930's. Mother and child are sitting on on a ledge. They are looking over the water with the moon light shining and making a path to their dream world. Wonderful for a quiet spot, it has a very soothing feel. Print is in nice condition with just a crease by the little girls' shoes. A fantastic Bradshaw Crandell calender print in a fantastic old frame!! The title is "Pretty Polly" and one must wonder if it is for the bird or the lovely lady. Bradshaw Crandell (1896-1966) was well known for his magazine covers, calender art and just lovely women!! In fact he took over the Cosmopolitan cover from Harrison Fisher who was known for his lovely women in the late 1800's. The print in in great condition with the colors still vivid. Striking magazine cover from the December 1930 "Woman's Home Companion". This one has wonderful graphics and a great subject matter!! What better to have on a December magazine that the Madonna and Holy Child? There are slight creases on the cover but they do not hinder the display of this print.
