These collars were the rage in the 1950's. You can see them on the neck of the raglan sweaters and the felt poodle skirts finishing off the look. This one is in grand condition, very white and clean. This is a fantastic woven straw clutch purse. The size is just right for putting under your arm and not loosing it!! When it is closed it is 12" by 7". The pattern is geometric with brown and straw colors. Inside is quilted yellow material with a zipper pocket in the middle. It is clean and in great shape. This is a fabulous Antique Crocheted Collar!! The workmanship is unbelievable and this piece could never be replaced. Please see all the pictures, because it has a floral design which is beautiful. I see no problems except for it needing a good cleaning. This is true Americana textile work!! The opening on the collar is 22". The widest part in the front is 6". Precious little clutch purse, circa 1950's. The entire clutch is covered with faux pearls and a design out of small beads. Just can't imagine the work in this, all the beads were stitched. The outside is in very nice condition with all the beads securely fastened. The inside has some wrinkles and yellowing from age, along with a Made in Japan tag.
