About Us
April Goff Brown Jewelry and my Ruby lane shop, Designs by April, offer skillfully created, hand-beaded, vintage-inspired jewelry for the woman who loves beautiful things. My designs build upon classic costume pieces from the early 1900’s through the 1940’s, fusing modern fashion with vintage design.

Inspiration comes from many sources, including the colors in nature and paintings. Many of my pieces are a symphony of color, combining lampwork glass, Swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls, and semi-precious gems. Most pieces are fashioned with sterling silver, but other metals are used, including gold-filled and pewter.

I prefer to finish chains myself so that I can custom size a necklace for my customer. It also lets me add matching beads near the clasp for a finishing touch.I prefer the oval trigger clasp over the lobster claw as I find it easier to work with its rounder shape.

My earrings are generally made on ear wires. However, if you want a lever back, post or clip, please let me know and I can make the switch.

Prices range from $28 for earrings to $400 for intricate semi-precious gem pieces. Most range in the $50-$200 range. Many items are priced as sets.

April Goff Brown Jewelry accepts commissioned work for custom pieces. My specialty for custom work is wedding and special occasion jewelry.

A repeat customer purchased four pieces and upon receipt, wrote "They are stunning. The rose necklace was going to be a gift but after seeing it I have decided to keep it". (Melissa) She has since bought several of the rose necklaces.

All my jewelry comes in bright yellow gift boxes, wrapped securely so that it doesn't move around during shipping. Your jewelry should arrive in perfect condition.
