Vintage Amethyst Lapidary Cut Bead Necklace China Sterling Silver Clasp

This is a vintage lapidary cut bead necklace of Amethyst or Cape Amethyst stone that is from China. Each bead varies in keeping with this natural material and the hand carving are flowers and baskets. They may be terrestrial orchids and trilliums which are indigenous to China. The beads are hand knotted on lavender color thread.

The clasp is marked with two horses or donkeys, China and Silver. The clasp has ornate carving around the edge.

It is 20 inches long and the clasp is 3/4 of an inch.

This necklace is approximately 100 years old. Highly collectible and desirable piece of jewelry. This Chinese necklace combines the craftsmanship of Oriental design with timeless beauty.

Excellent vintage condition. No missing beads and no cracks apparent in any of the beads.
