This is a very rare Joseff of Hollywood figural of the face of a man with a turban on his head, mustache and beard and a haunting expression on his face. This brass pin is dimensional with fantastic detail. Joseff of Hollywood was, and still is, famed for the jewelry he created for the movie industry. He put his original pieces into a rental library of 3, 000 pieces and leased his jewelry. He developed methods of making the jewelry that would be friendly to the camera and made cast molds of brass and hand soldered.

The reverse is marked Joseff in script letters and this would date this brooch to c. 1938.

This very special brooch is 2 inch by 1 1/2 with a height of 5/8 inches at the turban. Surprisingly, it is very light in weight.

Excellent vintage condition.
