Vintage Sorrento Uncas Scarab Gold Fill Brooch Pendant Circle

This is a vintage scarab gold filled pin from Sorrento Uncas Manufacturing. This is a circle of 7 scarabs set in prong caps. Uncas Companys was an old time jewelry company out of Rhode Island that featured Sorrento as one of their divisions. It was named for Vincent Sorrento, a founder of the company. They started business in 1911. There is a brown cats eye scarab that catches the light as well as the carnelian colored one. The other stones are a marbled pink, variegated green, louden green, black and royal blue. This is a quality well crafted piece of jewelry. There is a bale so that this lovely vintage pin can be worn on a chain(not included) as a pendant.

The reverse is marked Sorrento 1/20 12K GF.

It is just under 1 1/4 inches across.

Excellent vintage condition. There is that nice glow that comes with the patina of age of a quality piece of jewelry.
