1940’s Festoon Choker Necklace

This is a stunning festoon choker necklace from the 1940’s. The design of the necklace was inspired by jewelry that was prominent in the Victorian era.

This mesh necklace is made from brass tone metal with a hook closure so it can be adjusted. At the center of the mesh band there is a raised floral design along with an open lacey filigree design. At the center of the floral design is a solid circular design that looks like a bulls-eye. The same design, in a smaller version, is repeated eight times surrounding the larger design at the center. A small pendant hangs from the motif at the front of the choker, and is repeated on the right and left side of the necklace. Two chains flow down from the design on the right and left side of the necklace, draping gracefully along the sides of the necklace and attaching to the center design.

The mesh necklace measures 16 1/4” in length and is 5/8” in width. The design at the center measures 1 1/4” in diameter. An exquisite elegant necklace; one that you will love with jeans as much as you will with dressier outfits. A necklace for a queen. Want to apply for the job?
