Interesting 1930’s Art Deco Brass Demi-Parure, An exceptionally detailed Art Deco parure. This parure; necklace and bracelet, is made of emerald cut, open back faceted amber art glass which is wrapped in brass. Meticulously designed veined brass leaves alternate with links of amber art glass. The brass leaves have enamel with splashes of yellow, giving the appearance of butterflies that have landed on the leaves. The back of the leaves shows the same real life veins as the front. I am uncertain if the vein motif is repousse or a stamp; but believe it to be repousse, This is a parure that demonstrates the most expert of workmanship, great colors and superb detail. This set has all the qualities necessary to make an outstanding parure. The necklace measures 15 ½” with a secure spring ring closure. The glass and enamel are all free of chips and nicks. With age, the brass has acquired a deep warm patina. A great old necklace and bracelet
