“A rose by any other name smells as sweet”, and this Hallmarked Ciner rose brooch/pin must have been what Shakespeare had in mind! This spectacular rose is about as red as they come. The surprise is the gold under the layered red petals, hardly noticeable, but never forgotten once seen! The same bright gold tone can be seen on the bottom of the rose as well as under the petals of the rose. This red rose is not for the faint at heart for it is bold, brilliant, vivid, or might I say the obvious, it stands out! The brooch/pin measures 1 ½ in diameter, and ¼ to ½” in height.
