Signed Designer Costume Jewelry, Early and 1930's Art Deco, Beautiful Unsigned Costume Jewelry
The silver in the design curls around, then stretches out and circles around again in the opposite direction. A line goes through the center of the silver with eight vertical double lines that extend across the brooch. A second silver design is created on the top of the first; and there are three indentations that come to a point. At the pinnacle there are two turquoise stones that are either man made or real, and are prong set between the indentations. On the bottom are nine tear drop shaped turquoise stones that are also prong set and yet different from the ones on the top of the piece. Once again, I don’t know if they are man made or real. The stones have gold tone speckles. There are some small black flecks on the pin. They aren’t pock marks, and look as if they are there intentionally.
The pin measures 4” in length and 2 1/4” in width. This is an old piece that certainly makes quite an impression!
