Signed Designer Costume Jewelry, Early and 1930's Art Deco, Beautiful Unsigned Costume Jewelry
This hallmarked Tahe, sterling silver, gold filled (GF) bracelet is genuinely distinctive. A large coiled band made of sterling silver and covered in thick gold is at the center of the five separate bands of sterling silver that comprise this bracelet. Two smaller double twisted silver bands flank each side of this center gold filled band. Two additional smooth bands with engraved borders exist on both the top and bottom of the bracelet. On the back of the bracelet one can visibly see the five individual bands, which are connected by a wide, thick strip of sterling silver on each end. The melding of the center coil is detectable and one can see the silver inside with the layer of gold outer fill.
The bracelet measures 3/4” in width, but has a much more massive appearance stemming from the large protruding gold filled band. There is a 2 1/2” opening, but the back of the bracelet is open, which will allow one to adjust the bracelet to fit a larger wrist. A stunning piece of Navajo art, with an intricate and complex pattern, making it unforgettable, and beyond doubt a treasure.
