Spectacular Long Art Deco Pendant Necklace With Brass Ornate Detail

It is hard to even begin to describe this 1930s necklace; there is so much detail that words take from the overwhelming visual experience. Let’s begin with the chain, which is made of so many small glass light amber beads that it is impossible to count them.(hyperbole perhaps). Two filigree balls are at the end of the chain, along with five graduated sized round glass amber beads. There are two highly detailed brass chains on either side. Since there isn’t a bale as such, the chain attaches directly to the pendant on both sides. The pendant’s motif which is indeed striking, is a central bevel set faceted oval amber glass which is surrounded by a three dimensional complex brass design. An oval spherical bead hangs from the bottom of the brass design. A link attaches a round amber bead with a highly detailed brass filigree cap at the top of the bead.

The unclasped necklace measures about 20” in length, including the pendant which measures 2 1/4” as well as 2”in width. The attached beads add an additional 1 ¾”. This highly detailed, 1930s ornate necklace is a really spectacular piece.
