Glitzy Three Dimensional Classic Trifari Brooch with Baguettes and Marcasites

This Trifari brooch has a very classic look that would fit into almost any time period in history. It immediately makes me think of a flag or national symbol of a country, but it has no affinity with any specific country.

The brooch has two sides, each one having six vertical bands. On one side the bands are of dark royal blue baguettes. The other side consists of bands of marcasites. Each of the bands gracefully curves backward giving it a three dimensional look. At the top is a band of marcasites that starts on the same side of the blue bands, curving forward and getting wider as it crosses the marcasite bands and then sweeping around making a three dimensional semi circle leading to the blue bands. Quite an unusual look for Trifari.

The brooch measures 2 ½” in width and 1 ½” length. This is a brooch that will be in style no matter what century we happen to be in. A great unusual piece.
