Vintage 20-row coffee-brown beaded glass necklace

What a job it was to capture the beauty of this necklace in the camera! The dark brown glass beads have an iridescent luster finish, just like the play of colors you can see on the surface of a cup of black coffee. An absolutely stunning vintage necklace probably made in Italy in the 50s-60s. It is made of 8 rows of tiny beads, 8 rows of smooth tubular beads and 4 rows of larger fancy shape beads ending in a tulip-shaped brass cap with a gold-wash that is a bit worn out. The two ends are connected by a spring clasp which makes the necklace-length adaptable by closing it anywhere on the 3½" (9 cm) long chain with round beads. The necklace has a choker length and when it is open the shortest strand measures 15½" (39½ cm) not counting the chain. It weighs 122 grams! It is in excellent condition and does not show any sign of fatigue, but of course we didn't try to pull hard on the fine strings to check if they are still strong!
