Gorgeous shaped box which is hand made to the highest standard, decorated with fabulous antique Shagreen and ormolu.
The lid features the Palais Royal Shield , a lovely piece of banded agate decorates its centre. This shield mark was used on larger items the more familiar enamel Pansy on Smaller pieces.
The interior is fitted with six compartments, in which the previous owner kept a collection of various Palais Royal perfume bottles.
Casket is very well preserved with no damage to Shagreen or Agate plaque. The interior is aso completely original with age related wear commensurate with great age and use. Original antique Velvet to bottom.
Original key present, lock in full working order.
Dating from early 1800's Napoleon Bonaparte Period
SIZE:- 8.5 inches wide x 6 inches deep x 5.1/4 inches high. Each compartment measures: 2 inches x 2 inches.and would hold a bottle approx 4 inches tall .
