This is a very substantial set, large in size with great depth due to the crystal dangles, but oh baby, does it feel good when you’re wearing it! Dark blue and purple open back navettes are accented by crystal, green tourmaline and blue aurora borealis rhinestones that are then covered with clusters of dangling beads. Tiny, rhinestone encrusted loops run the length of each piece. Rising above the rhinestones are hooks from which hang three beads, emerald green and purple crystals and sparkling blue iridescent balls.
The necklace is 16” around and the drop in front is 3 ½”. For my personal use I add extenders to the necklace, making it more versatile. The bracelet is massive. It is 7 ¼” around and 1 ¾” wide – and rare, it took me forever to find it. The earrings are 1 ½” high by 1 3/8” wide. The brooch has a diameter of 2 ½ inches. The setting is shiny gold tone with no visible wear. The rhinestones all sparkle and each hook has three dangles.
I should warn you that once you own a set like this you’ll be hooked.
This style is a well known DeLizza and Elster design. The back shows shiny gold tone plating, open rivets, the five link bracelet and figure eight solders, all consistent with D&E jewelry.
The equivalent Swarovski rhinestone colors are amethyst, Montana blue, green tourmaline, light sapphire aurora borealis and crystal.
