Regency and black japanned settings were a match made in heaven. No one did black japanned finishes better than Regency. This amazing and rare set of jewelry has been in personal possession for a long time and I'm having separation anxiety even now.

This set is from the Regency Jewels line. Every piece of this line of Regency that I have seen has featured navettes, long, slender 15x4mm navettes. In this set, deep, dark midnight blue navettes are accented by ice blue, light blue and blue aurora borealis navettes and accented with chatons of sapphire and blue aurora borealis. The setting, as mentioned, is black japanned.

The necklace is a rather grand affair. It is 16” long and 1” wide and is immaculate, gorgeous, stunning and has rhinestones as clear and deep as they come. The bracelet is 7 ½” long and 1 full inch wide. The stunning brooch reminds me of either a tumble weed blowing sideways in the wind or the top of a blue palm tree (yep, I made that one up). It is 2 ½” wide by 2” high (or it could be 2” wide by 2 ½” high) and ¾” deep. The earrings are a pinwheel shape and are 2” x 1”. All of the rhinestones are beautiful and full of fire. The japanned setting shows some minor wear, mainly on the earrings and there is one small silver color solder on the bracelet that is not visible from the front.

The necklace, bracelet and the brooch are marked Regency Jewels.
