The stones in this beautiful Regency Parure appear to glow from within. They're beautiful, and, they're amber. Doesn't everyone need a good set of amber jewelry? I think they do. Well, except for the guys, but if they want one they may have one too.

Five navettes in dark smoked topaz are arranged in a fan pattern that hangs gracefully from a larger navette in this very stylish necklace. The dark amber navettes are given that extra punch by rhinestone chatons of topaz aurora borealis. The necklace is 16" around and slightly over 1" wide at the tip of each cluster of navettes. It's light and comfortable and glamorous all at the same time.

The bracelet has the dark smoked topaz navettes and topaz aurora borealis with an addition of light Colorado topaz chatons running down the center. It was common for Regency to add a coordinating color in their bracelets that wasn't included in the rest of the set. It is 7" long and almost 1" wide.

The brooch and earrings employ the same colors as the necklace. The brooch is 4" long by 1" wide and the earrings are 1" x 7/8".

The finish on the metal of the bracelet, brooch and earrings is japanned black and the combination of the black and amber works well in this set. The necklace however, has a brassy colored back although the finish in between the stones and on the prongs is japanned. From the front all you see is black and amber – no brass. I suspect that someone cleaned this piece a bit intensively at one time and although it does not affect the appearance nor the integrity of the set I am reducing my price on this beauty.

Other than the lack of black on the back of the necklace (try saying that five times quickly), this set is in excellent condition.

The brooch, bracelet and necklace are all marked Regency Jewels in an oval cartouche.
