I think this gorgeous stone has become one of my favorites ....a Chrysocalla cabochon. The veining and color variations in this stone are amazing and need very little embellishing. I have set the stone in a bezel of Japanese seed beads and fire-polished Czech beads. The back is finished with a black embossed faux leather felt. A woven seed bead bail attaches the pendant to a hand braided necklace cord. The cord is woven in the ancient Japanese method of Kumihimo and is a soft black rayon thread accented with metallic turquoise. Necklace is finished with a sterling silver toggle clasp. Pendant drops 2" and necklace measures 18" long.
