Ammonite Fossil Shell Pendant Necklace with Kumihimo Cord

A simple earthy necklace that features as it's center pendant a large Ammonite fossil shell. These ancient fossils can date anywhere from 200 to over 400 million years old. I have featured the outside of this shell due to it's beautiful iridescent hues of green, bronze, ivory, and dark brown. I have woven a seed bead bezel for the shell and it is hung from a necklace cord hand braided in the ancient Japanese art of Kumihimo. Necklace is finished with gold-filled end caps and a gold vermeil toggle clasp. Back of pendant is finished with a black embossed faux leather felt.

Necklace measures 18 1/4" long. This necklace can't be lengthened or shortened due to the cord but pendant can be removed and added to other necklace straps. Pendant measures 3" long and 2" wide.
