Possibly the ultimate Folk Art tag team tandem I have ever come across are these early hand carved Parrots and a portrait of Mrs.Polly Crackers herself.

The Parrots are simply fabulous with polychrome paint along with being hand carved out of pine. They stand 17" inches tall and are designed to tilt up and down to mimic the birds natural motion.

Certainly the best aspect of this find is the early Folk Art portrait of the owner along with her Parrot. We all have heard how owners sometimes resemble their pets~well take a look at her mug and tell me she doesn't want a cracker?

These pieces came out of a southern estate and date from the 1850's.
