You have seen the Rest now here is the Best
This is a beautiful and rare 19 jewel Elgin pocket watch that belonged to a member from the Kingdom of Serbia under Aleksander Obrenovic. The double eagle crest as displayed on the watch, was adopted by the Serbian Royals from 1882-1918. This crest is the same one King Obrenovic used up until his death by the Black Hand in 1903. The serial number on the movement is 7460096. The case serial number is 1256920 and it is marked sterling made by the A.W. C.Company. The watch once again is 19 jewels and I believe to be a size 12, grade 189 and about the size of a Morgan silver dollar and adjusted to five positions. The Royal Crest on the watch appears to be gold with exceptional detail and enamel work. The only flaws I can see is that the minute hand has become detached as the photos indicate. This should not require too much effort to have repaired. This watch also has the 1st Jeweled motor barrel. Historically important piece. Thank you for your interest and consideration.
